New Sunderland bridge - 3D fly through

This is a 3D fly through video of what the new Sunderland bridge would look like if it was built. For more information, go to http://www.newsunderlandbridge.com/

A bridge is needed as part of a new route into central Sunderland. It will help reduce traffic congestion and connect major development sites which in turn could generate new investment and jobs.

The Sunderland Strategic Transport Corridor (SSTC) project is leading the infrastructure investment required to improve the road network in Sunderland.

The new bridge and approach roads are phase two of the SSTC project and will increase accessibility to potential regeneration locations along the river corridor.

The bridge will connect the A1231 (Wessington Way) with European Way in Pallion.
